Bird watching in Spain

For experts or beginners, Malaga province offers a wide variety of enviroments for delightful birding. Most of our species will show for the enjoyment of the whole family while many of them will pass through the expert’s eyes for the very first time in life. We have the river Guadalhorce just outside our garden, which makes it easy to go bird watching early in the morning.

We can provide bird watching trips which are run in a flexible and friendly way and include:

  • English speaking birding guide service
  • Transportation
  • Use of binoculars and telescope
  • Use of bird guides in English

Areas of interest for bird watchers:

  • El Torcal (Griffon vultures, Blue Rock Thrushes, Rock Buntings, Rock sparrows, black-eared Wheatears, Subalpine Warblers)
  • Rio Guadalhorce (White-headed ducks, Black-winged Stilts, Booted Eagles, Cormorants, herons and waders)
  • The cliffs of El Chorro (Griffon Vultures, Choughs, Alpine Swifts, Crested Tits, Black Wheatears)
  • Laguna de Fuente de Piedra (Flamingos, Cranes, Avocets, Red-crested Pochards, Stone Curlews
